  • HOW LONG WILL MY PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
It depends on how much sun you are in and the shade you get. For instance, black lasts longer than brown. But Sherry recommends sunscreen and a color boost every one to two years to keep your color looking fresh. If you wait until three years or more its the original price. Payment is due prior to procedure.

  • SPECIAL NEEDS & CORRECTIONS
You may have special needs for permanent makeup such as scars, alopecia, or health problems. You may need your physician’s release in order to undergo testing and/or procedures which you desire. This is an extra measure of protection for your benefit.

  • WHAT IF I NEED AN MRI?
By all means get the needed MRI. Temporary tingling, redness and swelling have been reported for women with eyeliner tattoos. If your client develops any side effects from the MRI, then refer them to their physician for treatment. For more information, check the American Academy web site www.micropigmentation.org.

  • A SMART INVESTMENT
CONGRATULATIONS on choosing a Board Certified Professional. Your technician has undergone a rigorous, written, practical and oral examination by qualified experts in the field of micropigmentation.

Your investment in permanent makeup saves you time and money in the long run. Remember that Rome was not built in a day, and that permanent cosmetics may take several sessions of layering in color to achieve your desired result. A conservative approach is best as it is possible to add MORE color, but it is not easy to remove color. Your Board Certified Professional combines experience with judgment and works closely with other professionals to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

  • WHAT EXACTLY IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent cosmetic makeup is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your practitioner to place color into the layer of the skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at color through a thin veil of skin. When your procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the color is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process

  • WILL I REALLY LOOK LIKE MYSELF ...ONLY BETTER?
Permanent cosmetic makeup helps replenish what time has taken away and gives back precious time you normally spend “putting on your face”. You can save up to 100 hours in a single year that were formerly spent struggling to draw eyebrows evenly or eyeliner half-way straight. That’s two and one-half weeks of free time plus the money you’ll save buying new and expensive cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the day. Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed “in” your skin and not “on” your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you’re ready for a
special occasion, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.

  • I’M AFRAID OF PAIN...DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP HAVE TO HURT A LOT?
New topical anesthetics have been developed especially for permanent makeup. These creams and gels are
applied to the desired area before and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience
possible. Some people describe the sensation as a “tingling” feeling. Most people experience some discomfort, especially for lip color procedures. It is common to hear that there was not as much pain as was expected. As the anesthetic wears off after the procedure, cool packs are very soothing to the area. (If you are hard to get mumb at the dentist, then you might have a problem getting numb.)

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?
You’ll look like you’ve had a good cry for several hours following an eyeliner procedure. It is advised to apply ice for 10 minutes at a time during these first few hours. Also, it is important to wear sunglasses, as your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light. Eyebrow procedures have the least swelling. Lip color often involves temporary swelling. You must let your technician know if you have a history of fever blisters so your doctor can prescribe medication.

  • HOW LONG WILL MY PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
Permanent makeup is long-lasting. However, as you become accustomed to your new makeup, it’s not uncommon to want more. You will want to freshen up your new makeup every couple of years. The darker the color, such as black, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdown by the body. No pigment is FDA approved for tattoos. Both organic and inorganic pigments may be used to achieve the desired color.

  • CAN I REMOVE MY PERMANENT MAKEUP IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
Because it’s easy to add color and difficult to take away, your technician will be conservative in the initialapplication of your new color. Take advantage of the consultation to discuss your wants and needs. It’s also time where you and your technician choose the right colors and discuss any special requests you may have. Your cooperation will largely determine the end result of your procedure. Remember it is a team effort.

  • CAN I GET MY PERMANENT MAKEUP CHEAPER?
Remember the saying,“You get what you pay for...” . It saves you money and embarrassment to do it right the first time! If you already have permanent makeup and wish to make changes, please call for a consult.

  • WHAT IF I HAVE PLASTIC OR LASER SURGERY?
Cosmetic surgery is desirable for many reasons. It’s best to complete your surgery before having your makeup applied. Laser surgery or resurfacing may result in color loss or darkening of your makeup depending on the laser and the colors in your skin. Advise your laser surgeon that you have permanent cosmetics so that he or she can perform a “spot test” before they proceed. If either cosmetic surgery or laser causes color loss, your technician can replace the color. Your technician can discuss complications of cosmetic tattoos.

  • CAN I TAN WITH PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Yes, but not 2 weeks before or after the procedure because it will alter the color.

  • CAN I SWIM WITH PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Yes, but not 2 weeks after the procedure so the color heals correctly.
  • SHOULD I WEAR MY MAKEUP WHEN I GET THE PROCEDURE DONE?
  • If you are getting your eyebrows done and you usually wear a pencil. Pencil them in when you get the procedure done. If you are getting an eyeliner procedure done, wear your pencil when you get the procedure done, so I know how you like it. When you get a lip procedure done, bring your lipstick in that you like, so I can match it. I dont tattoo dark colors like brown or purple. If you have a dark colored lip, you cant get it done. They will heal purple.
  • CONSULTATIONS?
  • I am sorry, I dont give consultations. I recommend looking at my before and after pictures and videos if you want to see me or my office for other procedures. You may email me a picture of yourself to show me something that you have a question about.
  • HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?
  • I draw them on, and when you are happy with the shape, I mark it with a surgical marker so I don't loose the shape, and tattoo inside the mark. We work together like a team. I dont do hairline strokes for brows, they look like a picket fence, and dont last as long. I use topicals to numb the area that work well unless you are hard to get numb. If you are hard to get numb at the dentist, then you might have a problem getting numb with me. I dont use a noisey machine like body art tattoo shops use. Its very quiet. You can see the procedures getting done on my videos.
  • CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK IF I DONT LIKE IT?
  • There are no refunds. I cant take your tattoo off if you dont like it. I would love to say satisfaction gauranteed, but then I would get tons of people scamming me saying they dont like it and want their money back. When I draw the shape, thats what you get when you tell me you are happy with that shape.I take my time to make sure everything is even. Half of the procedure time is drawing them on. Remember that you need your touch-up visit for fine tuning, so they are not done until you come in for the touch-up visit. Sometimes they are done in one visit, but I can't promise that. I try to get them done in one visit, but sometimes there are spots I need to fill in more or change the color or shape.
  • WHY DO I HAVE TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
  • Because I have a lot of clients who don't show up or call me to cancel the appointment. When you give your credit card number, it holds your appointment. If you don't show up or give at least 24 hours notice, I will have the ability to charge you full price of procedure. I never know your credit card information. I tell them to charge you. Make sure that you bring in your credit card to my office when you get the procedure done if you want to charge it. This is a secure company. I have been using this for a while now and my clients never had a problem. The company is called www.stripe.com if you want to check it out. I havn't had a client not show up since I have been using it. My time is valuable to me and if a client dosn't show up, there might be someone who wanted that time slot.
